When installing a slide topper, the brackets will need to go on the metal siding, and not the plastic fascia. According to the installation instructions, all of the screws supporting the slide topper must have a backer within the wall of the unit. Generally the manufacturer of the slide out can tell you the proper or intended location with good solid backing. Usually the brackets can be positioned right in the upper corner of the slide, where the wall meets the plastic molding. view full answer...

The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687 comes with bronze bushings already installed in the eyelets so you wouldn't need to change them out in order to use wet bolts and lubricant. If you had an equalizer or leaf spring with nylon bushings then you would need to replace the bushing with bronze ones.
I would just hang onto the bushing included with the wet bolt kits and save them for when the bushings need to be replaced so that you're not spending as much down the road. view full answer...
